Why Stage One Energy

Civil engineering.

Ted is a civil engineer. Wind uplift, imposed loads, and deck capacity — worked from physical inputs, with assumptions and calculation traces you can follow, not rules of thumb.

Installing was not the gap.

Design and installation are already good. Nothing brought a portfolio's data forward, so people could see which roofs to pursue and which to park.

That is Stage One Energy.

One reading of the estate, before anyone climbs the roof.

Independence

The same fee either way. Nothing to install.

Feasibility first

Whether to buy, and at what size. Design and installation come after.

One person

Quicker and cheaper. The decision stays with the person who does the work.
